Soft robotics are charming materials and mechanisms with great potential. How can designers exploit the sensual properties of soft-robotic materials and embedded computational intelligence, for nonverbal communication between humans?

The work-in-progress show presents material studies and design prototypes, visual collages and moving image. The tactile, kinetic, visual and sonic properties of silicone soft robotics are singled out to explore artifactual emotionality and human affect, through biometric sensing.
